- Gingerbread Men
This recipe makes great crunchy gingerbread men. You could also use this recipe to make gingerbread hearts for Valentine's Day, gingerbread four leaf clovers (with green icing) for St Patrick's Day, or gingerbread butterflies for a girl's birthday party. Make a small hole at the top of the gingerbread men using a skewer before baking and you'll be able to thread ribbon and hang from your Christmas tree. Decorating the gingerbread at the end is super fun for kids and will keep them amused for a good hour or two on a rainy day.

- Hot Cross Buns
Making these hot cross buns will make your house smell really delicious. These light buns are easy to make and the recipe yields a lot (16 buns). This recipe is great for children, they will enjoy helping make these hot cross buns because most of the work is away from the oven. This is a great Easter recipe and it never fails!

- Lolly Pyramid
This is an adaption of the classic New Zealand lolly cake, designed to make a fun presentation for kids parties (or parties for the kids at heart). The ingredients for this recipe aren't apparently easily found outside of New Zealand, namely the malt biscuits and the fruit puffs but I have done a little research on the internet and put my some notes about substitute ingredients below.

- Dried Apricot Fudge
This fudge is absolutely delicious. The tangy flavour of the dried apricots is a perfect match to the sweetness of the fudge. Just make it once and you'll be hooked!

- Groovy Fruit Kebabs
Your kids will love making these! You can cut the fruit if the kids are young then leave them to make up their own skewers. Obviously you can use pretty much whatever fruit is available. Great cooked on the BBQ. Serve with a scope of vanilla ice cream. YUMMY!!

- Homemade Fresh Pasta
There is absolutely no comparing fresh pasta to the dried variety. To make pasta you only need eggs and flour. By making it yourself you can transform a regular Italian dish into gourmet taste sensation.
