Gingerbread

This is so easy to make and tastes great with butter (not margarine, butter!!).

Prep time:   5 minutes
Cook time:   1 minutes
Servings:   1 loaf

Ingredients:
2c (level) flour
1c (level) sugar
1/4t salt
1c milk
2T (heaped) golden syrup
2T (heaped) dripping
2t ground ginger
1t mixed spice
1t cinnamon
1t baking soda
1/2c water

Directions:
Mix together dry ingredients except baking soda. Melt dripping and golden syrup in a pot. Dissolve baking soda in water. Add to golden syrup mix. Then add milk. Combine and add to dry ingredients. Combine until smooth. I use an eggbeater or a whisk. Tip into a loaf tin lined with baking paper.
Bake 190 C for an hour.
