Cheese Scone Made With Can Of Lemonade

Recipe submitted by Rick on April 13th, 2010

Making scones with a can of lemonade and cream is a recipe that many Kiwis love. Below is one version of the recipe that's very easy and has never failed me. ONLY 6 INGREDIENTS!

Prep time:   15 minutes
Cook time:   15 minutes
Servings:   20 scones

Ingredients:
4½ cups flour
4 tsp cream of tartar
2 tsp baking soda
2 cups grated cheese
300ml cream
330ml can of lemonade

Directions:
Preheat your oven to 220°C
Sift dry ingredients into a large bowl. Stir through cheese then tip in cream and lemonade. Stir until just combined and then tip out on to a floured surface. Pat out to form until about and inch high. Cut into approx 20 pieces. Place on baking try lined with baking paper and cook for 15 to 20 minutes. Remember they will rise and expand so space out. I cook mine in 2 batches.
